About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amazon Innovation Center (Shenzhen) Company Limited Shanghai Branch - O93. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the product electrical design, development, and quality of consumer electronic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering requirement specifications
  • Work with multiple discipline engineering teams to deliver good electrical design
  • Support positive team interactions to accomplish program objectives
  • Provide cross-functional program integration support to ensure team success
  • Lead contract manufacturers to deliver quality work throughout the product development cycle
  • Work with contract manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams through the design-for-manufacturing process and engineering verification stages required to move the product from prototype to production
  • Apply technical expertise to problem-solving throughout the product lifecycle
  • Coach or mentor junior electrical engineers
  • International and domestic travel will be required
Requirements
  • MSEE with at least 5+ years of experience or BSEE with at least 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering in consumer product or power product
  • At least 2+ years of experience leading and working with contract manufacturers for all stages of product development
  • At least 3+ years of experience with system-level design, including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug
  • Practical experience in AC-DC design, with expertise in various topologies such as flyback, buck, buck-boost, PFC, and LLC
  • Experienced in power electronic product (AC-DC/DC-DC) design, including schematic, PCB layout, component selection
  • Experienced in AC-DC/DC-DC EE validation test, able to create test plans, review results, and fix issues
  • Familiar with safety and compliance requirements, including IEC and UL for power products
  • Knowledge of processor architecture, digital circuit design, and various communications protocols, such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.
  • Knowledge of physical failure analysis techniques for electrical failure analysis
  • English and Mandarin language skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage and drive various cross-functional team members
  • Expert in schematic entry, layout tools, and design for manufacturability (familiarity with OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro tool flow is a plus)
  • Experience with Ethernet communication interface
  • Understanding of high-speed design and noise suppression techniques
  • Knowledge on solar battery charge system
  • Hands-on experience with signal integrity tools
  • Experience in designing products for wireless networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE), GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth wireless systems
  • Strong communication and documentation skills and ability to operate autonomously
  • Complete understanding of manufacturing process, including DFM and DFT for consumer products
