Purpose of the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer to join our team at Corning. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to our customers, driving business growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and solutions to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to develop and implement technical solutions and strategies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective technical problem resolution and technical service.
  • Develop and document thorough understanding of customers' processes from a product, design development, and manufacturing perspective.
  • Promote Corning's technology advantages and capabilities, and identify future opportunities and risks with customer product and process migration.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in semiconductor, electronics, chemistry, precision instruments, mechanical engineering, material sciences, or glass science, optics, physics.
  • 5-8 years of working experience in Electronics, Semi-conductor, Display industry, with a strong background in quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and mechanical or optic experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to envision technical market trends and build appropriate roadmaps.
  • Strong hands-on trouble shooting, problem solving skill.
