Job Description:

Sonos, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audio Product Development Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an expert in hardware verification to lead the development of new audio products and expand our product range as part of our development team.

You will work closely with design engineers in JDM and Sonos to analyze Product Requirement Documents, Usage Models, and identify correct verification test cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt existing HWV test procedures to meet new requirements and develop NUD test procedures from scratch.
  • Review and approve JDM test plans at each prototype build.
  • Ensure adequate test procedures cover areas such as Color-Material-Finish (CMF), Packaging, Mechanical, Electrical, Audio, Power Supply, Thermal, Design Maturity, etc.
  • Represent Sonos interests in verification schedules, test status, test result documentation, defects reporting, and failure analysis.
  • Drive end-to-end verification activities including root cause analysis, DoE, solution verification, and issue closure.
  • Develop and implement automatic test methodologies.
  • Train JDM HWV engineers in proper execution of HWV tests as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSEE, BSME or equivalent degree.
  • At least 5 years' experience in product development teams or proven track records of driving product verifications.
  • Experience developing and testing in-ear audio products.
  • Knowledge and experience of analog and digital electronics, signal measurement, troubleshooting.
  • Experience in test automation.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with a multi-site development team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese and English.
  • Excellent written communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
