Job Description

The Expeditors Management Trainee Program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of all products and services offered by Expeditors. This program aims to equip trainees with the necessary experience to excel in various roles within the company, from operational to supervisory positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in an extensive orientation program
  • Complete a monthly recap of activities
  • Update the Management Trainee Database
  • Learn and embody Expeditors' culture
  • Set an example of excellence in all undertakings
  • Fulfill full-time employee training requirements
  • Complete all relevant training as listed on each department's development map
  • Track the progress of training in each department
  • Complete all relevant certifications
  • Understand and support the operations of each department
  • Understand management processes used within each department
  • Assist with supervisor responsibilities and duties in each department
  • Understand and work with operational and financial reporting used by each department
  • Support Department Managers in meeting productivity and expense-to-revenue goals within budgetary guidelines
  • Complete at least 2 projects during the program
  • Attend all department, sales, branch, accounting, and management meetings
  • Attend at least 2 product-specific sales or retention calls per department
  • Understand sales and retention programs for each department
  • Learn to supervise and mentor employees
  • Develop interpersonal communication and management skills

Requirements:

  • PREFERRED: MBA or Master degree, or at least two years of working experience at Expeditors with a proven excellent performance record.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English (CET 6 or above)
  • Fluent Chinese speaking
  • Will to travel or be relocated
