Underwriting Specialist

-Communicate with sales teams to provide timely feedback on marine products and inquiries;
-Assist the Manager in achieving company targets for both bottom-line and top-line performance;
-Coordinate internally with other team members and departments;
-Underwrite Marine cargo/Inland Marine business under the Authorities, and prepare related documents such as Quotations, Open Contracts, and Endorsements;
-Prepare and make referrals for business within granted authorities;
-Assist sales teams in conducting marine business promotion and development;
-Participate in AIG corporate Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training and perform AML-related duties, including Know Your Customer (KYC), large/suspicious transaction reports, high-risk customer reports, etc.
-Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
-University degree or above, with a major in Shipping preferred;
-Relevant working experience is preferred;
-Good command of English, both oral and written;
-Sensitive to figures, with good logical thinking and analytical skills;
-Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with knowledge of programming a plus;
-A team player with good communication skills.
