About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Underwriter to join our team at AIG. As a Marine Underwriter - Cargo and Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in underwriting marine cargo and inland marine business under the authorities and preparing related documents.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Communicate with sales to provide timely feedback on marine products and inquiries;
- Assist the Manager in achieving the company's target for both bottom line and top line;
- Coordinate internally with other team members and with other departments;
- Underwrite marine cargo/inland marine business under the authorities and prepare related documents such as quotations, open contracts, and endorsements;
- Prepare and make referrals for business over the granted authority;
- Assist sales in conducting marine business promotion and development;
- Participate in AIG's corporate Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training and perform AML-related duties, including Know Your Customer (KYC), large/suspicious transaction reports, and high-risk customer reports;
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

- University degree or above, with a major in Shipping or a related field;
- Relevant working experience in marine underwriting or a related field;
- Good command of English, both oral and written;
- Sensitive to figures, with good logical thinking and analytical skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with knowledge of programming a plus;
- A team player with good communication skills.
