About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Budget Associate - Strategic Staffing to join our Strategy, Policy and Budget (SPB) Department. This role will play a vital part in supporting the management team in strategically planning and managing AIIB's resources to implement its Corporate Strategy and business priorities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the entire budget management process, ensuring resources are effectively directed towards business objectives and executed efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting annual budget planning, monitoring, reporting, and controlling administrative and capital budgets
  • Assisting in strategic resource planning, focusing on strategic staffing/workforce planning for the entire Bank, leveraging metrics and quantitative modelling techniques to forecast budget and staffing needs
  • Enhancing cost accounting practices to improve understanding of costs and enable informed strategic resource planning
  • Conducting benchmarking exercises to compare budget and staffing metrics against peer institutions, identifying best practices and opportunities for strategic resource optimization
  • Supporting improvements in infrastructure for strategic resource planning, including advancing IT tools such as time-recording systems, data platforms, SAC, S4HANA, and surrounding systems

We are looking for a highly analytical individual with exceptional quantitative modelling skills, demonstrated through experience in managing large datasets and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of financial and management accounting principles, preferably holding designations like CPA, CFA, or CIMA.

A passion for international development and a reasonable understanding of the MDB business model are essential. Experience with ERP systems and analytical tools, particularly familiarity with the SAP ecosystem and Power BI, is highly valued. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are also required.
