Job Summary

As a key member of the Quality team at Emerson, you will be responsible for driving World Class Quality processes for flow meters to deliver a Best-in-Class experience for our customers. Your expertise in quality and reliability will guide the improvement of product quality and reliability throughout the product life cycle. You will apply knowledge of field issues to new product design and operations, leveraging field return data to drive positive changes in design and manufacturing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Determine project scope, budget, and schedule parameters, delegating assignments as needed.
  • Ensure effective coordination with other disciplines involved in the project.
  • Schedule and attend project meetings to communicate product quality issues.
  • Develop and document Reliability Test Plans, Quality Criteria, and Test Results for new products.
  • Perform failure analysis as required.
  • Investigate product failure modes and causes, communicating findings to the engineering and operations teams.
  • Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify Critical Design Characteristics.
  • Contribute to the Stage Gate review process for new and existing products, preparing presentations as needed.
  • Oversee test technicians and manage other job assignments allocated by leaders.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Ability to devise new approaches and solutions to problems, modify and extend theories and practices within the field.
  • Three+ years of engineering experience with a strong understanding of Quality and Reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent.
  • Qualification as an Auditor in an ISO system is preferred.
  • Proficiency in math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent written and oral communications skills in English and Chinese.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
