Position Overview

The Roche PD China Oncology/Hematology MD Fellowship is tailored for specialist trainees.

This initiative aims to enhance and expand clinical training by providing insights into clinical research methodologies from the perspective of pharmaceutical medicine. The fellowship spans one year, primarily located within the Clinical Development Group in Shanghai, focusing on the strategy, design, and execution of late-phase clinical trials.

Participants will have opportunities for travel and direct engagement with Roche/Genentech. You will be guided by a seasoned member of the Clinical Development Group based in Shanghai, and additionally, a mentor will be assigned to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in the design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of data from clinical studies involving both developing and marketed compounds.
• Collaborate with globally recognized academic experts and clinical investigators.
• Contribute to critical clinical strategy, implementation, and molecule management meetings to deepen your understanding of the complexities and challenges in medicine development.
• Provide clinical expertise in the relevant disease area for cross-functional pharmaceutical development teams.
• Participate in discussions and initiatives related to Personalized Health Care (PHC) and patient selection for various therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with other clinical science team members, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to complete and submit regulatory filings and documentation.
• Work closely with global early and late-stage development teams and experts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The Roche PD China MD Fellowship is suitable for individuals with a background in clinical science, certified clinicians with formal training, or those with a minimum of five years of clinical practice experience in the oncology/hematology field.

• Experience in clinical trials within oncology/hematology.
• A trainee eager to gain a deeper understanding of and influence the development and approval processes for medications targeting oncology and hematology. Note: This fellowship is not intended as a basic science fellowship leading to a postgraduate degree, although clinical research may complement or inform existing basic research where appropriate.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both Chinese Mandarin and English.
