Shenzhen, Guangdong, China NVIDIA Full time

NVIDIA has been at the forefront of innovation for over two decades.

The introduction of the GPU by NVIDIA in 1999 not only revolutionized the PC gaming sector but also transformed modern graphics and redefined parallel computing. Recently, advancements in GPU deep learning have sparked a new era in AI, positioning the GPU as the core processing unit for computers, robots, and self-driving vehicles that can understand and interpret their environment.

This is our mission — to enhance human creativity and intelligence.

The automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation, and NVIDIA is leading the charge in the autonomous vehicle sector, providing essential solutions for major automotive manufacturers. We are heavily involved in critical automotive domains where visual computing and AI are pivotal for Autonomous Driving (AD).

Autonomous Driving Vehicles necessitate a high-performance computing system on wheels, presenting a considerable AI and software-centric computational challenge. There is no existing platform capable of addressing this challenge, so we are developing our own.

Your Responsibilities:

We are in search of skilled Automotive System Software Engineers to work collaboratively with NVIDIA's global team to design and deliver the system platform software to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, engage with clients, and develop production for autonomous driving electronic control units (ECUs).

  • Bring a robust development background coupled with a passion for innovation.
  • Participate in advanced autonomous driving initiatives to provide customized product functionalities and technical support for a scalable autonomous driving computing platform ranging from Level 2 to Level 5, analyze complex technical challenges in autonomous driving, and independently resolve issues across multiple teams.
  • Design and implement software for autonomous driving platforms based on the NVIDIA Thor system-on-chip (SoC).
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues throughout the organization, fostering strong relationships and effective collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience) with over 5 years of relevant work and product experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux or QNX operating systems and proficiency in programming languages such as C.
  • Experience working with complex automotive systems on Linux or QNX Kernel, Board Support Packages (BSP), and drivers (e.g., Ethernet, Serializer/Deserializer, Display, PCIe, eMMC, UFS, etc.). Familiarity with virtualization/hypervisor is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ARM architecture and ability to debug performance and stability issues in Linux or QNX systems.
  • Proficient in debugging at the board and chip level using appropriate probing tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Exhibit self-motivation and excel in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving, effective time management, and task prioritization.
  • Familiarity with Automotive SPICE and/or ISO26262 standards will facilitate your integration into our exciting autonomous driving projects.
  • Previous experience in areas such as Autonomous Driving, Automotive Infotainment, or Cockpit systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate commitment and the ability to work independently.

NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, recognized as one of the most desirable employers in the technology sector. With some of the most innovative and dedicated professionals in the industry, and due to our exceptional growth, our engineering teams are expanding rapidly. If you are a resourceful and independent engineer with a genuine passion for technology, we look forward to learning more about you.
