Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Demi Chef to join our culinary team at the Park Hyatt Ningbo. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut and prepare various meats and vegetables according to established specifications.
- Cook food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
- Collect supplies from stores and maintain accurate records and accounts.
- Organize the storage of dry goods and vegetables.
- Prepare food that meets the quality and style standards of our outlet concept.
- Adhere to the food apportionment policy to control costs.
- Follow established methods of food preparation and cooking, portion sizes, and garnishing to ensure consistency.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and adhere to the Hotel Hygiene policy.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Adhere to food safety management system requirements and local government regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for culinary arts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
