Overview:

The Clinical Program Lead for Immunology will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical development strategy with a global perspective, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and implementation of clinical studies aligned with the global clinical development roadmap for designated programs.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for the China-specific elements of the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP), guiding the project from inception through the product lifecycle.
  • Provide scientific and strategic direction in clinical program planning and execution, contributing significantly to the China Therapy area Medicine Team (TMT) and Integrated Evidence Team (IET).
  • Ensure excellence in clinical, operational, and medical governance across all projects within the assigned portfolio.
  • Assess the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products through comprehensive clinical trials (Phases I to IV), involving direct patient engagement and research analysis.
  • Offer medical insights to facilitate the development of new therapies and enhance the market positioning of existing products.
  • Maintain medical governance for the clinical program within the Chinese market.

Qualifications:

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD with over 5 years of experience in medical practice or scientific research relevant to the field.
  • More than 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, demonstrating a successful track record in leading clinical development initiatives both in China and globally.
  • In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory standards.
  • Proven expertise in trial design, operational execution, reporting, and publication processes.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies to support innovative trial designs and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in analyzing complex information using both inductive and deductive reasoning.
  • Relevant knowledge in the therapeutic area, including disease biology, treatment pathways, and unmet medical needs.
  • Demonstrated capability to integrate global considerations into strategic and operational decisions.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Experience in managing teams and leading through change effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English.
