Job Title: Data Network Engineer

Corning is a leading technology company that is shaping the future of industries and the world we live in. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Network Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure. This will involve working closely with our IT team to ensure that our network infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network solutions that meet the needs of our business
  • Test and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with our IT team to ensure that our network infrastructure is secure and up-to-date
  • Develop and maintain network documentation to ensure that our team has access to the information they need
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends to ensure that our infrastructure remains competitive

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure, including AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of network automation tools, such as Ansible and Python
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Nagios and SolarWinds
  • Knowledge of network security frameworks, including NIST and COBIT
