Job Title: Data Network Engineer

Corning is a leading technology company that is shaping the future of industries and the world we live in. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Network Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, efficient, and scalable. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure
  • Test and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security and compliance
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and technical specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to improve network performance and security
Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on data center and WAN networks
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security measures
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Cisco data center products, Radware, and VeloCloud SDWAN
  • 2+ years of experience supporting large, enterprise-class data center network environments
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols, including BGP and OSPF
  • Understanding of pertinent frameworks, including ITIL, NIST, and COBIT
