Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Heat Transfer Engineer to join our Heat Transfer & Fluid Mechanics team at Danfoss. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technology development of brazed-plate heat exchangers (BPHE) by means of technology exploration, product development for new markets or applications, and democratization of existing technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop models for existing technology or application, evaluating heat exchanger and system design optimization for new applications.
  • Develop laboratory test capacity and capability according to the technology roadmap and business needs.
  • Research and study on new technology through literature review, simulation, experimentation, etc.
  • Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) projects by estimating schedule, cost, risks, process, and manufacturing tool.
Requirements
  • Preferably 3+ years of experience in heat exchangers and/or two-phase thermodynamics.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Understanding of Heat Exchanger thermodynamics (especially evaporators and condensers).
  • Design of Experiments.
  • Two-phase flow modeling.
  • Lab testing of units and/or components.
  • Basic scripting capabilities (preferably VBA or Python or Matlab).
  • Dymola modeling.
  • System level understanding for Chillers and/or Heat Pumps.
