Product Development Innovator for Bonding Solutions

Responsibilities- Lead product and technology development programs related to bonding solutions aligned to business portfolio strategy and industry needs.
- Collaborate with research teams from Global division/business group Labs, Corporate Research Labs, and cross-function teams to ensure a leadership position in the markets we serve from both performance and sustainability perspectives.
- Create and protect 3M intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications and/or development of trade secrets.
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry from an accredited university.
- Minimum of five years of combined experience working in product, process, and/or technology development with common adhesive systems (e.g., acrylic, epoxy, urethane, light curing, pressure-sensitive, and/or bonding film).
- Minimum of three years of experience working in product development with bonding systems.
- Rich experience with new product, process, and/or technology scale-up and deployment of new technologies.
- Proven experience designing new adhesive systems linking customer needs to product requirements in a private or public environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with colleagues around the globe as well as manufacturing counterparts.
- Demonstrated work-related leadership ability, collaboration, accomplishments, and mentoring.
- Able to identify technical uncertainties, propose resolving hypotheses, and build plans to verify.
- Possession and passion to address industry challenges.
- Self-motivated with a strong growth mindset.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
