Job Description:

This is a high-impact position that requires strong hands-on abilities and shift management skills. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production, ensure technical and process compliance to Straumann product quality requirements, and lead the team towards maximum productivity, efficiency, and safe work practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Daily Production

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing daily production, achieving production KPIs, including OEE, OTD, and Quality. They will also respond quickly to problems on the shop floor and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues.

  • Manage direct labor to ensure their work complies with SOPs and WIs.
  • Support cross-functional tasks and implement continuous improvements in the shop floor.
  • In-command of shift operators to support daily production, inspect parts according to quality requirements, and take actions if necessary.
  • Closely cooperate and communicate with QC, maintenance, Secondary, EHS, and other relevant departments when on duty.
  • Save production data, management direction, and other statistical data according to operation manuals, hand over properly, and describe in shift logbooks.
  • Take assigned tasks from plant management.
Safety Responsibilities:
  • Comply with company EHS policies, procedures, and working instructions.
  • Assist production supervisors in ensuring safety for the shift team, coordinating to solve all EHS issues, and reporting existing problems to supervisors.
  • Organize and participate in relevant safety activities, such as safety short talks before, during, and after work.
  • Educate employees on job safety and mentor new operators.
  • Routinely inspect workplaces for potential hazards and eliminate them.
  • Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean workplace.
Team Management:
  • Assist workshop supervisors in improving workshop management systems and regulations.
