Deputy Principal

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Deputy Principal to join our international school in Shanghai. This is a full-time position that requires a strong educational background and leadership skills.

**Job Summary**

The Deputy Principal will play a crucial role in supporting the Principal in overseeing the academic affairs of the school. This includes collaborating with Chinese principals to develop and implement academic programs, as well as providing guidance and support to teachers and staff.

• **Administration of International Curriculum**: Oversee the administration of international courses for high school students, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
• **Curriculum Development**: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that is aligned with international standards and best practices.
• **Fusion Courses**: Design and develop fusion courses that incorporate British and American culture and contemporary approaches to learning.
• **Teacher Development**: Design and oversee teacher professional development programs to ensure that teachers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality education.
• **International Affairs**: Coordinate the school's international affairs, including student exchange programs, foreign expert visits, and transnational academic cooperation.
• **Collaboration with International Partners**: Work closely with colleagues in the United Kingdom and United States to develop and implement international programs and initiatives.
• **Teaching and Leadership**: Provide 60 teaching periods per month and demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate students, teachers, and staff.

**Requirements**

• **International Education Experience**: Familiarity with the UK/USA education system, including IGCSE and A-level, IB, and AP curriculum.
• **Senior Administration Experience**: At least 10 years of experience in senior administration within US/UK schools.
• **Principal/Head Teacher Experience**: Principal/head teacher experience at one or multiple well-established US/UK schools is highly desirable.
• **Knowledge of Chinese Education System**: Knowledge of the Chinese education system is desirable.
• **Working Experience in China**: Working experience in China is desirable.
