About SCHOTT

Your Role

  • Embark on a journey to resolve ambiguity in new technologies by immersing yourself in emerging markets, analyzing trends, and recommending strategic actions
  • Identify, investigate, and develop high-impact business opportunities in adjacent fields to SCHOTT's current platform technologies
  • Nurture relationships with innovative partners in high-potential business areas, influencing and educating external stakeholders about SCHOTT's capabilities and advancements
  • Lead cross-functional global teams, plan resources, and manage the testing of new business opportunities from concept to launch
  • Effectively communicate and present compelling business proposals to internal decision-makers
  • Contribute to the development of SCHOTT's IP strategy and contribute to the creation of new IP
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors, market threats, and emerging start-ups to ensure SCHOTT's winning position
  • Collaborate with existing business architectures or establish new ones to capture and realize high-impact business opportunities
  • Develop the initial customer portfolio, business plan, and product launch strategy
  • Adhere to company policies, including EHS, equipment maintenance, lab 5s, and compliance, and take personal responsibility based on department guidelines
  • Perform other duties assigned

Your Profile

  • Hold a Master's degree or above in Engineering, Material Science, or Natural Science, with additional economic training or experience, and have more than 10 years of working experience at the intersection of technology and business
  • Have a strong passion for the intersection of technology, product development, strategy, and business, and understand the technologies and various applications of products in different market segments
  • Display strong innovative thinking and real-world intelligence, combining existing concepts with the unknown
  • Demonstrate cross-functional and cross-regional leadership skills, and be able to develop and leverage networks
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Be capable of problem-solving in a dynamic environment
  • Be fluent in English and Chinese, with both written and oral communication skills
