Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Universal Electronics Inc. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical products that enable wireless control solutions for the smart home.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical products from feasibility stage to production-ready state
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including 3D and 2D drawings, part lists, and technical reports
- Build and evaluate prototype designs to ensure mechanical integrity and performance
- Collaborate with the mechanical group to resolve design and project-related issues
- Support production activities from prototype to full-scale production and assist in process improvement initiatives
- Participate in product release activities, including mechanical testing and quality assurance
- Train and mentor junior engineers to share knowledge and expertise
