Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Celanese's stewardship policy and standards, maintaining and improving the Process Safety Management (PSM) system in collaboration with the site's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) function.
  • Drive improvement of process yield and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance.
  • Establish standard operating conditions and standard operating procedures, periodically reviewing control plans and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Lead process and quality-related troubleshooting and problem-solving, conducting root cause investigations and developing/preventing corrective actions.
  • Provide continuous process and product quality improvement through process optimization and upgrade.
  • Evaluate process or equipment improvement-related employee suggestions.
  • Provide process knowledge and troubleshooting training to operations operators and participate in the new key operator qualification process.
  • Assist in the development of new products and processes, as well as source changes and new raw material qualification programs when necessary.

Requirements

  • Education Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Able to lead project implementation.
  • Preferably with good quality sense and quality-related knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication capability in English.
  • Good team player, self-motivated, with good ownership sense.
  • Working Experience
  • At least 2 years of related experience as a production/process engineer in a manufacturing plant, with hands-on experience in chemical or engineering polymer compounding processes preferred.
