Automation Services Consultant

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Automation Services Consultant. This role will be responsible for engaging stakeholders to understand their digital and automation needs, translating business requirements into future state processes, and implementing digital and automation solutions with Power Platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with stakeholders to understand their digital and automation needs and assist in opportunity assessment and Proof of Concept for new use cases.
- Translate business requirements into future state processes, high-level solution design, and documentations required across HSBC governance.
- Assist in formulating digital project business cases and presenting the project and solution design in governance meetings with the support of Digital & Automation Delivery Manager.
- Implement end-to-end digital and automation solutions with Power Platform capabilities, such as Power Apps, Power Automate/Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc.
- Procure and follow up required approvals in accordance with HSBC standards.
- Perform code reviews in accordance with design principles and best practices.
- Assist in providing training in Citizen Programme.
- Proven successful track record in a similar role.
- Ability to problem-solve, clearly articulate requirements, and implement and drive delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with complex stakeholder groups, with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and with sufficient gravitas and prominence to influence key stakeholders.
- Must be well-organized and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Fast learner, able to accommodate to complex environment and stakeholder groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required: fluency in English is a must, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a plus, and familiarity with Wholesale Banking industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge and proven successful track record in Power Platform and/or RPA technologies, and their use case assessment, implementation & delivery lifecycle.
- Good understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery approach.
- Hands-on experience on one of the below Power Platform capabilities or any market-leading automation/digital tools: Power Apps, Power Automate/Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, RPA (Blue Prism/UIPath/Automation Anywhere), VBA, Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Confluence, Jira, and/or knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- Applicants should have an IT/CS/Tech background with either a relevant bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Applicants owning any certificates below is highly preferable: Exam PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer, Blue Prism Developer Exam (AD01), Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE, SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager Certification.
