About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Accounting Manager to join our Asia Pacific Region (APAC) Global Accounting Services team in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and review the work of other GL accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Exercise good judgment when prioritizing multiple complex tasks amidst shifting conditions, ensuring timely completion of projects with high quality standards.
  • Support Internal/External Audit efforts, contributing to the company's compliance and risk management.
Accounting and Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly closing activities, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to accounting policies.
  • Assist in leading monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, reviewing work papers and account analysis for responsible legal entities.
  • Analyze financial statements, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Post monthly adjusting journal entries, exercising judgment on accruals and other journal entries.
  • Perform analytical reviews of departmental expenses, researching and disseminating information on inquiries related to departmental expense.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Recommend and implement process improvements through high-level analysis and collaboration.
  • Develop special reports and ad-hoc analyses, understanding various accounting reservation policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Train, develop, and mentor direct reports and other accounting staff members in accounting procedures and the Oracle ERP system.
  • Maintain effective relationships with local accounting teams in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and Guangzhou, working closely with them to achieve shared goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and communication skills, and experience in supervising a team. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
