About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainee to join our team as an HVDC Control & Protection System Software Engineer. As a key member of our global HVDC engineering team, you will be responsible for the software application conceptual design, detailed development, testing, and commissioning of the HVDC Control & Protection System.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the HVDC Control & Protection System conceptual design from a software application design perspective.
  • Develop detailed applications for the HVDC Control & Protection System, focusing on Automation and Digitization areas.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement software functions using specific design tools.
  • Contribute to conceptual design and software design documentation for internal and external purposes.
  • Provide technical support for hardware-in-the-loop tests of the HVDC Control & Protection System.
  • Participate in site installation support, commissioning, sub-system testing, and system testing of the HVDC Control & Protection System.
  • Support marketing and sales efforts from a software design perspective.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams from a software design perspective.

Your Background

  • Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or automation, or a degree deemed equivalent.
  • Experience in actual coding for DSP, FPGA, DRTOS, Windows, Linux, or Unix.
  • Experience with PSCAD, Matlab, or other simulation software for electric power systems and control systems.
  • Knowledge of HVDC control and protection is a plus.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English language.
