Microgrid Control Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on leading Energy Management System (EMS) applications;
  • Develop solutions for diverse microgrid configurations, integrated energy services, and distributed energy storage applications;
  • Lead the research and development of EMS control algorithms for microgrid systems, including droop control and virtual synchronous generator methodologies;
  • Provide guidance on microgrid system selection, covering energy storage systems, fuel cell generation, photovoltaic systems, and wind energy systems;
  • Deliver technical services at project sites, including model validation and system commissioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in power electronics, electrical engineering, automation, or control;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the development or design of integrated energy management systems;
  • Strong understanding of microgrid systems and familiarity with power station grid connection standards and market requirements;
  • Knowledge of the architecture and implementation mechanisms of EMS products from leading manufacturers;
  • Experience in the operation and management of new energy-centric power systems;
  • Over 3 years of experience in monitoring systems for substations or power plants (SCADA/DCS) and dispatch automation systems (EMS/DMS), with a preference for candidates with extensive project integration experience in automation/information systems;
  • Excellent logical reasoning, communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities.
