Energy Storage Technology Innovation and Grid Expert

About the Role

As an Energy Storage Technology Innovation and Grid Expert at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for leading the RGR innovation team in the Innovation Center - Shenzhen.

Key responsibilities include implementing the technology and innovation strategy of the RGR field of action and supporting business area management and innovation management for sound decision making.

You will connect with customers, startups, industrial partners, government, and universities to build an RGR innovation ecosystem in the region.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the RGR innovation team in the Innovation Center - Shenzhen
  2. Implement the technology and innovation strategy of the RGR field of action
  3. Support business area management and innovation management for sound decision making
  4. Connect with customers, startups, industrial partners, government, and universities to build an RGR innovation ecosystem in the region
  5. Explore early-stage R&D ideas and topics that are beyond the existing business portfolio
  6. Facilitate customer co-creation to transfer market's needs and requirements into innovation portfolio design requirements and specifications
  7. Manage ICS RGR project teams to develop rapid prototyping of MVPs and execute RGR field of action projects in time and budget to validate early-stage innovation concepts for commercialization
  8. Prepare regular project status reviews with all stakeholders
  9. Closely work with Innovation Strategy, FoA leads, R&D Planning departments on yearly R&D planning, regular reviewing, and reporting
  10. Support ICS TD management on resource staffing and skills development

Requirements

  1. Expertise in RGR products and market
  2. Experience in renewables industry or LDES is a plus
  3. Strong networking skills within SE business areas
  4. Strategic view and clear thinker
  5. Strong listener to customer's needs and customer orientation
  6. Profound understanding of global decarbonization drivers and technologies
  7. Deep understanding of customer business cases including market boundary conditions and funding opportunities
  8. Strong communication skills, ability to lead project teams in agile environment as well as strong business orientation
  9. Attention to detail, documentation of boundary conditions, identification of potential road blocks
