Job Description

Prysmian Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in Malu Town, Jiading District, Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate complex machinery in the manufacturing and joining of plastic handrails and other parts.
  • Maintain equipment according to the preventive maintenance program.
  • Disassemble and reassemble dies and extruders for style changes.
  • Splice handrails to tolerances using hand tools.
  • Operate moderately complex machinery in the manufacturing of rubber handrails and other parts.
  • Hand assemble handrails and splices.
  • Rework any deficiencies through skilled use of knives and other hand tools.
  • Disassemble and reassemble moulding equipment for style changes.
  • Set up and operate various material preparation machines to slit, cut, extrude, join or pre-assemble rubber or rubberized materials.
  • Disassemble and reassemble dies and other equipment for style and size changes.
  • Set up and operate bending Machine and router to prepare brush holders and other parts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by labelling and accounting for material discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workplace to ensure processes run efficiently and product is defect free.
  • Work on special projects in the manufacturing areas as required.
  • Packages all finished parts to approved packaging methods and standards.
  • Transfer materials to production lines for assembling to follow approved inventory control method.
  • Maintain boiler operation to approved methods and standards.
Health & Safety
  • Maintain a safe & healthy work environment by following organisation standards and legal regulations.
  • Report any actual or potential unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor immediately.
  • Promote safety to other team members.
Inspection & Testing
  • Using analog and digital gauges measure product to determine conformance.
  • Visually inspect products and compare to established standards to determine conformance.
  • Puts products that are suspected of being non-conforming on hold.
  • Maintain SPC graphs and make process adjustments based on negative trends.
Reports & Administration & Other Related Duties
  • Maintain all quality records in order to be in compliance with established standards with the Quality Procedures Manual.
  • Complete final inspection reports, inventory accuracy reports and productivity reports.
  • Prepare Certificate of Quality as required.
Training
  • May be called upon to train other employees when requested by the Production Supervisor.
Team Effort
  • Participate with other team members in supporting team efforts and accomplishing related team results.
  • Work with the team to make ongoing improvements to the process and product.
