Senior Optics Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Optical Geometry Management
  • 1. Calculate and adjust optical geometries for glass lenses.
  • 2. Clarify and accept tasks presented in verbal or written form, planning and specifying tasks while considering quality, timing, and cost factors.
  • 3. Prepare corrections to optical patterns utilizing appropriate systems and methodologies.
  • 4. Conduct extensive photometric investigations, documenting and verifying results, and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • 5. Develop complex experimental setups and adapt existing testing equipment as necessary.
B. Optical Development and Testing
  • 1. Design optical patterns for lenses based on customer specifications, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • 2. Identify issues and propose alternative solutions in consultation with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • 3. Draft testing instructions and manage all lighting engineering approvals for lenses in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • 4. Innovate and enhance testing modules for lenses.
  • 5. Calibrate and verify lens testing apparatus.
C. Additional Responsibilities
  • 1. Plan schedules and capacities for measurement tracks, optimizing procedures in cooperation with involved teams.
  • 2. Organize and conduct training sessions for staff at measurement tracks.
  • 3. Monitor costs and timelines for the division based on workflows and cost planning, identifying deviations and suggesting improvements.
  • 4. Implement necessary quality assurance measures, adhering to existing systems, methods, regulations, and guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optics. 2. Over 2 years of experience in automotive optical design. 3. Expertise in optical design for lenses and light guides in interior applications. 4. Strong communication and presentation skills.
