Position Overview

The role involves collaborating with the business team to achieve operational excellence, providing essential support for various business requirements and risk management, while driving enhancements in processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with joint venture stakeholders on behalf of CARGOTEC, overseeing controlling activities aimed at value creation initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze reports generated by the joint venture to pinpoint necessary actions and prepare performance updates for management.
  • Facilitate monthly forecasting, assess variances, and initiate improvement measures.
  • Actively participate in project execution, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure smooth project progress, including early involvement in contract reviews, regular follow-ups on contract execution, monthly project updates, and collaborating with stakeholders to devise effective plans.
  • Supervise direct engineering time reporting and monitor cross-company bookings.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and CBS teams, translating financial knowledge into terminology that is meaningful for the business team.
  • Function as the business finance representative and key user, providing necessary support across various systems such as SAP, IT, IM, and IPS.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits.
  • Provide ad hoc support as required by the business team or undertake additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications for Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Experience

  • Over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role within multinational corporations.
  • Experience with joint ventures.
  • Background in the heavy industry sector.

Competencies

  • Strong integrity.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Skilled in SAP and other computer systems, with effective application in workflow processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate financial activities within a metric organization.
