Role Overview

The primary responsibility is to execute operational tasks that ensure a safe and highly reliable travel experience, aligning with our brand and business objectives while adhering to all compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Duties

  • Conduct aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third-party clients (if applicable) under the guidance of the Aircraft Engineer, working on a shift basis.
  • Undertake local or international operational relief duties or standard tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in monitoring the performance of third-party suppliers (technical services, ramp operations, de-icing, refueling, etc.), promptly addressing and resolving any operational challenges.
  • Support contingency plans and ad hoc operational needs such as diversions, charters, aircraft type changes, and recovery from major disruptions.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance on ground support equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Aid in Cathay Quality Assurance, Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, and/or third-party audits, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of audit findings as directed.
  • Manage station administration and ensure that station documentation and passes are current and valid as instructed by the Engineering Manager/Supervisor.
  • Ensure adherence to local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations.
  • Execute any other reasonable tasks as requested, including involvement in non-operational duties and projects.

Performance Management and Process Enhancement

  • Ensure understanding and implementation of annual SMART goals.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and discuss career development plans with the designated Direct Appraiser.
  • Attend station meetings as necessary to maintain regular engagement and effective communication.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through quality innovation, teamwork, and lean processes to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and commercial outcomes.

Emergency and Accident Response

  • Fulfill responsibilities related to Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response as required.
Qualifications

Educational Background

  • College degree or higher.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Demonstrated aptitude and understanding of aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Willingness to undergo induction training/on-the-job training as necessary, covering but not limited to: Aircraft and Ramp Safety Awareness, Company Procedures Awareness training, and Human Factors Awareness training.
