Counsel / Senior Counsel - Public Sector Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Counsel / Senior Counsel – Public Sector Operations to join our team at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). As a key member of our legal team, you will provide legal and policy advice on public sector investment transactions, ensuring compliance with AIIB's social and environmental standards and other policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal and policy advice on public sector investment operations, including sovereign and sovereign-guaranteed loans.
- Support the negotiation of legal agreements and draft various legal documents, such as legal opinions, studies, briefs, reports, correspondence, memoranda, agreements, contracts, and other legal materials.
- Assist with the legal aspects of project preparation, implementation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with other multilateral development banks and development partners to further AIIB's investment operations.
- Minimum 58 years (for Counsel) and 810 years (for Senior Counsel) of relevant post-qualification practice experience, preferably in a top-tier international law firm or with an international financial organization.
- Relevant professional experience with sovereign loans and/or guarantees and loan/financing/guarantee agreements is highly desirable.
- Excellent command of English, including drafting and negotiating legal documents in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at a high level.
