About the School

Our bilingual school, established five years ago, is situated in the heart of Pudong district, Shanghai. We provide bilingual education to students from Grade 1 to Grade 12, following the Chinese national curriculum with elements from the British IGCSE and A levels curriculums to cater to the academic needs of our students.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teach IGCSE English and IELTS to secondary students
  • Participate in regular subject meetings with English staff to discuss curriculum planning, student progress, and teaching practices
  • Take part in school duties such as corridor supervision and weekly tests supervision
  • Evaluate and mark students' work, providing constructive feedback and maintaining their progress records
  • Prepare students for EAL qualifications as required
  • Attend departmental meetings, INSET, and training events to enhance teaching quality
  • Write detailed, informative reports on students
  • Attend annual parents' evenings and other required parental meetings
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or above
  • A formal teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CELTA)
  • Minimum two years' experience teaching EAL to students aged 11-18
  • Experience teaching IELTS or IGCSE is beneficial
  • Eligible for applying the English teacher visa
