Job Title: Assembly Planning Project Group Leader

Mercedes-Benz is seeking an experienced Assembly Planning Project Group Leader to join its team in Beijing. As a key member of the production planning department, you will be responsible for coordinating and operating new models' interdisciplinary production preparation for assembly process planning of a defined planning area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate assembly sequences, working processes, production resources, and manufacturing times for assembly systems.
  • Check, adjust, and correct technical documentation and specifications.
  • Prepare cost comparisons and feasibility calculations.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including Series Planning, Module/Central Planning, Equipment Planning, Production, Logistics, and Pilot plant.
  • Oversee the entire assembly process and Change Management process for the respective area and interface between internal departments and external partners.
  • Connect and coordinate with supporting departments, such as special tools and torque tools planning, and central planning in Germany.
  • Support project-related organizational tasks as a lead function and direct support of TPL Process and L4.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Assembly shop planning, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in new-type planning and production ramp-ups is preferable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
