Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Controller to join our Asia team. As a key member of our Regional Financial Controlling team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of investment initiatives and processes for the Asia Region. You will measure the return on investment of key investments made by the Region and provide actionable insights to stakeholders in the business and in Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate the investment governance process and rhythms for the Asia Region.
  • Contribute to the thought leadership of the Asia Finance community.
  • Collaborate with HR, SE&O, Regional Headquarters team, and the business to ensure maximum value is delivered to the organization.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, actual, variance, and trend analysis for all costs, ensuring insightful commentary is provided to area leadership teams.
  • Drive ROI culture and discipline across the organization, leveraging standard ways to measure ROI.
  • Chair and drive the Asia Investment Council, providing overview of all available investment sources and analytics to Region Finance Leaders and business partners.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of post-graduate Financial Analysis, Accounting, Controllership, or Finance work experience.
  • Experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • Experience in matrix-based organizations.
  • Experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA) or equivalent certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 3-5 years of experience in matrix-based organizations.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA) or equivalent certification.
Key Indicators of Success
  • High-quality marketing, ECIF, external resources, and HC process to optimize investments across the Region.
  • Deliver ROI analytics to Regional Finance Leaders for informed decision-making.
  • Review process and track the result of investments vs. expectation across the Region.
  • Influence high-quality investment outcomes for the Region, vs. activity and process.
