About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Educator to join our team at BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting academic and social English language development for our students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advocating for the academic and personal/social needs of English Language Learners;
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress;
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive ELL programs, incorporating push-in/pull-out, small group, and individual student support;
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to design and implement engaging cross-curricular instruction that fosters English language fluency across content areas;
  • Conducting regular assessments of student performance using multiple assessment tools;
  • Providing professional development opportunities for colleagues to enhance their capacity to support specialized instruction, differentiation, and classroom accommodations for ELL students.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field;
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments;
  • Knowledge of English language acquisition theories and best practices;
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and implementation.
