About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our Agile development team in Chengdu. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving Commerce components using mainly Java, Spring framework, Git, and Maven.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in an Agile development team, embracing the Scrum approach.
  • Maintain and improve Commerce components using mainly Java, Spring framework, Git, and Maven.
  • Contribute to providing a high-quality code by following best practices and design patterns.
  • Design and write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests to ensure software quality.
  • Actively drive non-functional requirements in areas such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate with members of the wider product development team across multiple international locations to ensure delivery on time.
  • Present innovative ideas to your team and management to drive non-functional requirements such as security, performance, continuous integration, migration, and compatibility.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Practical knowledge in Java and Spring framework programming.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies, frameworks, etc.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical problems and deeply understand business requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work as a part of a self-organizing team.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of the enterprise e-commerce industry in general.
  • Experience working with or in Scrum, Agile.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery.
  • Experience in defining and fulfilling non-functional requirements (e.g., security, performance).
  • Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes and/or Docker technology.
