About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our team at Freudenberg. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing customer negotiations regarding product specifications, defining functional specifications based on customer requirements, and managing presentations for developed products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect voice of customer and define requirements profile with customer to understand customer needs and bring in innovative solutions
  • Manage the development of design concepts for products and manage processes of product modification in regards to technical specifications during serial production
  • Establish and manage cross-functional project teams, organize project management in accordance with IATF16949, and ensure smooth program transfer from project
  • Daily project management, drive and coordinate team members and related departments to reach internal and external milestones and ensure APQP outputs are timely generated and documented
  • Organize regular project meetings, evaluate potential risks/opportunities, and implement action plans with team
  • Organize key project information to ensure project continuity and contribute to knowledge/lessons learned management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification education in the field of Engineering, major in mechanical or textile is preferred
  • Above 3 years experience in automotive or related
  • Familiar with drawing principle, GD&T, and vehicle development process, quality tools such as 8D, and good at CAD and/or CATIA
  • Familiar with APQP clearly and excellent knowledge of filtration, Nonwovens, product design, and relevant neighbor parts
  • Ability of conflict management and response
  • Good ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Good communication skills and logical thinking ability
  • Good written and oral English, with good knowledge of PC application software
