Key Responsibilities

As a Process Engineer at Applied Materials, you will be responsible for designing, collecting data, analyzing, and compiling reports on various process engineering experiments within safety guidelines.

  • Design and execute experiments to optimize process performance and efficiency.
  • Analyze data and compile reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and resolve complex problems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports.
  • Interact with customers to resolve process engineering issues and provide technical support.
  • Measure and interpret film properties to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Identify and select vendors and suppliers to support process development and implementation.
  • Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation to improve process performance.
Functional Knowledge

You will demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in process engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in process engineering.
  • Apply knowledge of process engineering principles to design and optimize processes.
Business Expertise

You will have knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others, as well as awareness of the competition and market factors.

  • Understand the business implications of process engineering decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Leadership

You will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Lead small projects and teams to achieve process improvements.

You will solve complex problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions, and exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.

Qualifications

You will have a Bachelor's Degree and 4-7 years of experience in process engineering or a related field.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position with 10% travel required.
