About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chinese instructor to join our international school in Guangzhou. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our high school students, ensuring they achieve academic excellence and develop a love for the Chinese language and culture.
  • Prepare and present lessons, assessments, and reports that meet the highest standards, providing constructive feedback to students and their parents to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the school's curriculum, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment that fosters student success.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, setting achievable targets to ensure all learners can succeed and improve, regardless of their background or ability.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating clearly and respectfully to promote a positive and inclusive school community.
  • Participate in school activities and events, contributing to the overall well-being and success of our students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant subject, such as Chinese language and literature.
  • Minimum two years' teaching experience in higher education, preferably in China or a similar cultural context.
  • Valid teaching certification and a strong command of both English and Mandarin languages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
