Job Overview

As a People Planning Specialist at IKEA, you will play a crucial role in implementing our people planning strategy at the unit level. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to IKEA employment standards, legal, and union requirements related to People Planning in the unit.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Implement people planning strategy at unit level, following principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team
* Ensure scheduled hours include planned absences and liaise with department managers to develop final schedules
* Identify possible improvements in the unit people planning process and escalate any potential deviations to the Unit P&C manager
* Collaborate with recruiting manager and Unit P&C generalist to ensure vacancies are filled with the right contract type
* Educate and support unit co-workers on the people planning process and their role in it

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have knowledge of how to implement plans, according to set budgets and goals. You will also need to have knowledge about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, as well as knowledge of the people planning process and how it is executed in the unit. Additionally, you will need to have knowledge of scheduling and time keeping software used in the unit and country and local legal requirements in people planning. Finally, you will need to have knowledge of IKEA employment standards and adherence.
