Treasury Specialist Role Overview

WRI China Office is seeking a highly skilled Treasury Specialist to support all aspects of office accounting management. In this role, you will assist with payment processing, staff reimbursement, expense reports, wire reports, bookkeeping, and other financial tasks. You will work closely with local and global office teams, providing a great opportunity to build strong financial skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process payments and prepare cash register and transaction reports.
  2. Oversee forecast cash flow positions and ensure sufficient funds for ongoing operations.
  3. Collaborate with local banks to manage office banking business.
  4. Support programs and core functions with payment-related inquiries.
  5. Confirm travel bills with programs and core functions.
  6. Preliminary review of payment and reimbursement requests.
  7. Coordinate with global teams and logistic vendors for new employee system account setup.
  8. Manage timesheets and support timesheet issues.
  9. Support tax reporting, including consultant IIT, VAT, and CIT filing, and other tax-related tasks.
  10. Assist with accounting and financial document organization and other accounting-related tasks.

Requirements:
  1. Three+ years of accounting or finance-related full-time work experience, with experience in non-governmental organizations being a plus.
  2. At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  3. Fluent in speaking and written English.
  4. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  6. Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  7. Strong process orientation with sensitivity to quality, timelines, and organizational systems.
