We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Specialist to join our team at the World Resources Institute (WRI) China Office.

As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth management of office accounting and treasury functions. This includes but is not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prominent Tasks: Process payments, prepare cash registers, and generate transaction reports.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee forecasted cash flow positions and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.
  • Banking Relationships: Collaborate with local banks to manage office banking business when required.
  • Payment Support: Provide assistance with payment-related inquiries for programs and other core functions.
  • Travel Bill Confirmation: Confirm travel bills with programs and other core functions.
  • Preliminary Review: Conduct preliminary reviews of payment and reimbursement requests.
  • New Employee Setup: Coordinate with global teams and logistic vendors for new employee system account setup.
  • Timesheet Management: Manage timesheets and support timesheet issues.
  • Tax Reporting: Assist with tax reporting, including consultant IIT, VAT, and CIT filing, and other tax-related tasks required by local tax bureaus.
  • Accounting and Finance Support: Provide support with accounting and financial document organization, as well as other accounting and finance-related work.

About You:

  • Required Qualifications: At least three years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with non-governmental organizations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, strong work ethic, adaptability to changing priorities, and effective project management.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The compensation package also includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
