Summarized Purpose:

Act as the Project Lead and primary liaison for sponsors. You will be responsible for the comprehensive delivery of the project (quality, timeline, budget) on behalf of the organization. You will establish and convey customer expectations to the project team with minimal guidance. Ensure adherence to escalation protocols both internally and externally. Lead a cross-functional project team to achieve or surpass project deliverables. Manage projects of increasing complexity, including multi-service, multi-region/country, therapeutic intricacies, and financial scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the sponsor and the organization at the project level.
  • Ensure adherence to escalation protocols internally and externally (Rules of Engagement – communication pathways).
  • On projects requiring it, ensure clear delineation of responsibilities and communication pathways for secondary project leads.
  • Drive and oversee the overall delivery of the cross-functional project (time, cost, quality).
  • Demonstrate financial stewardship at the project level by maintaining a thorough understanding of the contract, aligning resources to budget, managing out-of-scope activities, and facilitating the Con Mod process/negotiations.
  • Establish, communicate, and manage customer expectations to optimize project delivery.
  • Drive risk identification and issue resolution at the project level.
  • Ensure project team compliance with organizational policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
  • Act as a mentor to team members.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Keys to Success:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).

  • Technical and systems competency, including digital literacy and effective use of applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as organizational systems.
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize workload and resources for project team members in a dynamic environment.

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities and situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical development guidelines.

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize expectations.
