The Customer Support Division is dedicated to empowering our clients with exceptional support throughout their journey with Lam. Your Contribution

As a Senior Field Process Engineer at Lam, you will be a pivotal resource for our clients, adeptly addressing their needs and driving innovation. Your responsibilities will include executing process support, assessing, and documenting process outcomes for hardware enhancements and upgrades. You will play an essential role in customer installations, training, and collaborating with product teams to identify design enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver process support and installation services, enhance process/system productivity, and develop new applications of Lam equipment at client locations. Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) evaluations to define process parameters for new installations or suggested field hardware modifications. Design and implement experiments, gather data, analyze findings, create reports, and offer actionable recommendations. Innovate new processes for minor variations to existing customer applications. Manage application-related projects, including planning, defining challenges and objectives, developing strategies, and providing insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to comprehend their requirements, technology trajectories, process flows, and business challenges. Represent Lam to our esteemed clients, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Present technical and marketing information with a collaborative mindset to keep clients informed about products and services that meet their needs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related discipline; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Proficiency in software applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong customer relationship abilities. Capability to operate in a cleanroom environment, utilizing personal protective equipment, and be available on-call as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Comprehensive understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
