Job Summary

As a key member of the Marriott International team, the Chef de Cuisine is responsible for the quality, consistency, and production of the restaurant kitchen. This role requires a high level of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Excellence

• Develop and implement menus that showcase the restaurant's culinary expertise and appeal to a diverse range of guests.

• Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.

• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and seasonal menu items that drive guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Leadership and Team Management

• Supervise and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages open communication, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Develop and implement training programs that enhance the culinary skills and knowledge of the team.

Operations and Logistics

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, food preparation, and presentation.

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order and that all health and safety protocols are followed.

• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop and implement strategies that drive guest satisfaction, loyalty, and revenue growth.

Guest Experience

• Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

• Collaborate with the restaurant team to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel valued and appreciated.

• Respond promptly to guest complaints and concerns, and work to resolve issues in a fair and professional manner.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in menu planning and development, including taste testing and menu engineering.

• Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies that drive guest traffic and revenue growth.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and share knowledge and best practices with the culinary team.
