About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is available for an EHS Engineer to join the Dover Corporation team in Shanghai, China. As an EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including those related to hazardous chemicals and precursors.

Key Responsibilities:


• Stay up-to-date with the latest EHS laws and regulations, as well as DG chemical and precursor chemical laws and regulations, and translate this information into applicable procedures and practices.


• Lead the evaluation and analysis of regulations and ensure that all gaps are addressed accordingly.


• Be familiar with the EHS license/permit/certificate application process and maintain valid and updated licenses and permits, excluding DG production licenses.


• Contribute to the company's EHS management system by organizing internal and external audits for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.


• Set up and optimize EHS management procedures/SOPs to meet regulatory requirements and MI internal requirements.


• Organize internal auditor training and deliver annual refresh training for internal teams.


• Lead the annual management review for EHS management systems.


• Be responsible for data analysis, statistics, and feedback from EHS management systems.


• Conduct daily inspections of operations and office areas to ensure the effective implementation of management systems and raise issues promptly and follow up on actions closely.


• Complete tasks assigned by the North Asia EHS Manager to ensure regional compliance, including conducting EHS risk assessments, analyzing, and closing gaps when necessary.


• Support or lead EHS projects when assigned, such as planning or coordinating audits for occupational health and environment systems (internal, customer, and third-party audits).


• Provide support for site EHS activities, promotions, or project implementations.


• Support and conduct internal EHS training and participate in external EHS training/meetings to stay informed about the latest EHS regulations and laws.


• Collaborate closely with EHS teams to support daily site EHS operations.


• Cooperate closely with other teams on EHS projects.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in chemical industry or safety management related fields or certified safety engineer - chemical category.


• At least two years' work experience in chemical production-related work.


• Internal management system auditor experience (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.) and experience with hazardous chemical registration certificates and business licenses.


• Obtain a certificate of safety management personnel.


• Excellent experience in EHS management and control.


• Good communication and influencing skills (train, run, motivate working sessions with both internal and overseas teams).


• Strong analytical and simulation skills.


• Ability to work independently.


• Proficiency in word, Excel, and PPT.

• The role of EHS Engineer is mainly responsible for Fengxian site environment and health management, compliance, internal audit, license registration, and renewal.


• Keep closely monitoring of latest EHS laws & regulations, as well as DG chemical and precursor chemical laws & regulations, interpret into internal applicable procedure or practice.


• Lead regulation evaluation and gap analysis and make sure all gaps closed accordingly.


• Be familiar with EHS license/permit/certificate application process, and maintain license/permit/certificate in valid and update/renew accordingly except DG production license.


• Contribute to company EHS management system, included but not limited to organize internal and external audit for ISO14001 system and ISO45001 system

• Support and conduct internal EHS training and join the external EHS trainings/meetings to ensure closely monitoring of the latest EHS relevant regulations & laws


• Closely co-work within EHS teams to support daily site EHS operations


• Closely cooperate with other teams for EHS projects

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor degree in chemical industry/safety management related or certified safety engineer - chemical category
  • At least has 2 years' work experience in chemical production related work
  • Internal management system auditor (such as ISO45001, ISO14001, etc.) and experience on hazardous chemical registration certificate and business license
  • Obtain certificate of safety management personnel
  • Very good experience on EHS management and control
  • English can be workable
  • Good communication / influencing skills (Train, run, motivate working sessions with both internal & overseas teams)
  • Strong analytical and simulation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good at word, excel and PPT
