As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining solutions that showcase Solidigm SSDs for data center workloads and staying at the forefront of data center trends in storage and memory technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with world's largest enterprise and cloud IT companies to help solve complex IT problems and drive infrastructure transformation
- Define the best fit solutions opportunity for Solidigm's SSDs and prove the value of these solutions in practice
- Perform hands-on lab work and engage in direct customer interaction as well as create marketing collaterals and present to senior management
- Manage and/or lead contractors and Interns in a lab to stand-up and test target workloads
- Work closely with Content Delivery Network, Hyperconverged Infrastructure/Software-Defined Storage, and Enterprise storage providers to unlock Solidigm technology value
- Position solutions value to customers, influencers, and partners, and train a world-wide sales force to scale these solution opportunities
- Evangelize Solidigm technologies in public forums and customer events to drive software evolution, infrastructure change and business scale
- Connect key technical solutions into industry verticals, such as Cloud Service Providers, Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy, and more
- Develop novel solution architectures, recommend new product/feature development, recommend improvements to existing software and new software development needs, and prototype proof of concept designs
- Deep understanding of the data center SSD and HDD products, technologies, market, and trends
- Understanding of AI data pipeline and typical customer workloads
- Understanding of Hyperconverged Infrastructure, experience with VMware vSAN, Nutanix and Azure Stack HCI
- Understanding of Content Delivery Networks architecture, experience working with CDN providers
- Understanding of modern data center architecture and distributed storage systems such as HDFS, BeeGFS, Ceph, MinIO, Lustre, GlusterFS, SeaweedFS, ZFS
- Experience with industry standard benchmarks like TPC*, Stackm3, RocksDB and how they relate to storage
- Competence in related performance technologies such as DPDK, SPDK, PMDK
- Network and kernel tuning and optimization
- Master's Degree in related field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
- Bachelor's Degree in related field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
- 8+ years of experience in IT engineering or data center applications, preferably with Intel Architecture-based CPUs, SSDs and Networking
- Detailed knowledge of I/O and memory / storage related software stacks, drivers, file system and kernel performance utilities
- Direct experience implementing IT data center solutions such as database, big data, analytics, software defined storage systems, converged and hyperconverged systems, performance sensitive applications, and/or open source infrastructure solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and influencing skills
- Proven experience describing complex technology solutions in business terms, demonstrating business value to customers, and identifying future business opportunities
- Experience guiding the work of lab technicians to execute focused solutions testing
- Direct experience configuring and testing server and/or storage systems
- Experience running industry benchmarking tools on servers and/or storage systems
