About International Business School Suzhou (IBSS)
IBSS is a growing business school with a strong international reputation. We are based on the principles of internationalism, innovation, inspiration, and integrity, which guide everything we do. We have a team of over 170 faculty members, including many internationally recognized experts in their fields. We offer a range of undergraduate and graduate programs across all major business disciplines.
The Department of Accounting
The Department of Accounting at IBSS is a leading academic unit in its field. We have a team of 30 academic staff, many of whom are affiliated with professional accounting bodies such as the AICPA, ACCA, CIMA, and CPA Australia. Our department offers a range of programs, including BA Accounting and MSc Professional Accounting, which are accredited by major professional bodies. We also have a strong research program, with many publications in top-tier accounting journals.
The Job Opportunity
We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our faculty team in the Department of Accounting. The successful candidates will be expected to teach a range of courses, conduct research, and engage with the professional community. We offer a competitive salary package, including a housing allowance, travel allowance, kids education allowance, relocation allowance, and commercial insurance plans customized for XJTLU staff and family members. We also provide working visa and residence permit in China for our staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of accounting courses
- Conduct research in accounting and related fields
- Engage with the professional community through conference presentations, consulting, and other activities
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD degree in Accounting or a related field
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Research experience in accounting and related fields
- Affiliation with professional accounting bodies is desirable but not essential
