Senior IC Assembly Manufacturing Specialist

Job Summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a highly skilled Resident Subcontractor Quality Engineer to represent them in China.

The position will be based at the Allegro Shanghai office and will be mainly responsible for managing OSAT partners of Allegro located in China.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated team player with analytical mind, good problem-solving skills, and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement general procurement specifications at each subcontractor
  • Support new product transfer, evaluations, and product start-up
  • Work with subcontractor for continuous improvement in assembly, quality, and reliability programs
  • Sustain assembly and bumping operational issues
  • Communicate with customers in some occasions
  • Drive and work with the sub-con in root cause verifications, evaluations, and corrective action plans derivation
  • Conduct line audits and support customer audits
  • Support occasional evening calls with US counterparts

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IC assembly manufacturing or process engineering
  • Good communication skills both written and oral in English and Chinese
  • Able to deal with all levels of management and staff
  • Motivated team player with analytical mind, good problem-solving skills, and project management experience
  • Good appreciation of auditing, quality system, reliability, and failure analysis
  • Good knowledge of bumping and test process will be an added advantage
  • Willing to travel from time to time within the Southeast Asia region
