Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our team in Shanghai, China. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for ensuring R&D activities are conducted in compliance with HSEQ and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new products for different markets, running formula design in a scientific way (DOE, DFQ) and following Bostik project management tools (stage gate, clarity, etc).

• Provide technical support to target/potential customers and Bostik manufacturing plants, supporting the scale-up of new products from laboratory to full commercialization.

• Deliver project documentation and communication in the form of internal technical reports/presentations and external publications (when appropriate), as well as record keeping, data analysis, and progress report preparation.

• Provide technical support for existing products, applications, and markets in Asia-pacific region or for global projects, including NPD support, responding to customer complaints, and updating knowledge on new technologies and applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Polymer science, or related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external resources.

• Adaptable in a fast-growing and dynamic business environment as a team player, with an open, enthusiastic, creative, and innovative team spirit.

• Good data analysis skills and experience with adhesive and sealant chemistries, or coatings end uses and formulations preferred.

• Excellent computer and presentation skills, with fluency in English (speaking/writing) and the ability to speak Chinese preferred.
